Job Description:

  • You will be working as a part of a small People & Culture team in the store and directly reporting to the People & Culture Manager. You will support the unit manager, line managers, team leaders, and co-workers to enable them to deliver their results and create an excellent customer experience. You will provide People subject matter expertise, process People operations matters, and ensure that the localized People strategies are put into practice in the most effective and efficient way. You will also contribute to constructive cooperation with co-worker committee/unions where applicable.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute all operational People tasks related to P&C at unit level to deliver an excellent co-worker experience
  • Securing engagement and retention by understanding the conditions of our co-workers
  • Ensure recruitment and on-boarding of the right talent with the right contracts in close collaboration with the Market area and the unit People Planning specialist
  • Implement a co-worker relations plan that effectively manage all local interactions with co-workers and ensures that all areas in the unit work with the labor relations principles and uphold local policies, procedures and laws
  • Ensure local employer communication is consistent, well perceived and builds on the IKEA brand
  • Support the building of local business competence & performance by setting and working on relevant People goals
  • Implement Health and Wellbeing initiatives at unit level

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Min. 2-3 years of experience in HR
  • Availability to work every other weekend and 2 late shifts per week
  • Good Employment Law knowledge
  • Previous dealings with Employee Relations case work
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Degree in HR or CIPD qualification
  • Drive to deliver first-class co-worker experience
